2. Use of the Website
You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their use and enjoyment.
You may not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site.
- Use the website to distribute harmful or malicious content.
- Copy or reuse any content or material without written permission.
We may update, suspend, or withdraw any part of the website at any time without notice.
3. Our Services
CodeCraft North provides website design, development, and maintenance services on either:
- A subscription basis, paid monthly over a fixed minimum term, or
- A one-off project basis, with an optional ongoing support plan.
Full service details and pricing are available on our website or provided in writing before any agreement begins.
4. Client Responsibilities
To deliver your website efficiently, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information when requested.
- Supply required content (text, images, brand materials) by agreed deadlines.
- Review and approve drafts promptly to keep projects on schedule.
- Ensure any materials you provide do not infringe copyright or other rights.
If deadlines are missed or information is incomplete, we may need to adjust delivery dates or fees.
5. Payments and Subscriptions
Payment terms will be clearly outlined in your proposal or invoice. In general:
- Subscription plans are billed monthly in advance and require a 12-month minimum commitment unless otherwise agreed.
- One-off projects require an upfront deposit with the balance due on completion.
- Ongoing support plans are billed monthly in advance.
All prices are in GBP and may be subject to VAT where applicable.
Failure to make payment on time may result in suspension of services until the balance is cleared.
6. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
For subscription websites
- CodeCraft North retains full ownership of all source code, design systems, frameworks, and associated intellectual property used to create and maintain your website.
- You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the website while your subscription remains active and payments are up to date.
- If your subscription ends, access to hosting and source files will cease, and the website will no longer be available.
- You may request a copy of your own text and image content before cancellation, but the codebase, build system, and design remain our property.
- At our discretion, we may offer a one-time website transfer fee allowing a departing subscription client to obtain a compiled copy of their site (for example, static HTML files or exported WordPress content) for independent hosting. Any such transfer will exclude our proprietary frameworks, templates, build processes, or assets not specific to your project.
For one-off project builds
- Once full payment has been received, ownership of the completed website (including source code and relevant assets) is transferred to you.
- You are then free to host, edit, or maintain the website independently.
- CodeCraft North retains ownership of any internal tools, frameworks, or libraries not specific to your project that were used in its creation.
Re-use or resale of our work, code, or design assets outside the agreed project scope requires written permission.
7. Hosting and Support
If you host your website with us, we will provide managed UK-based hosting with SSL, backups, and uptime monitoring as described in your plan. We aim for 99.9% uptime and will take reasonable steps to maintain availability, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.
We are not responsible for downtime or data loss caused by third-party providers, force majeure events, or client actions.
8. Revisions and Maintenance
Subscription clients benefit from unlimited small edits and ongoing improvements as part of their plan. Larger redesigns or functional changes may require a separate quote.
For one-off projects, any post-launch edits or updates outside the included support period will be chargeable at our standard rate.
9. Cancellation and Termination
Client cancellation
- Subscription clients may cancel after the minimum term by giving 30 days' written notice.
- Early cancellation before the end of the term may incur remaining balance fees.
- For one-off projects, deposits are non-refundable once work has begun.
- If you cancel mid-project, work completed up to that point will be invoiced.
Our right to terminate
We may suspend or terminate your website, subscription, or access to our services at any time if:
- Payment is not received on time,
- You breach these Terms or any agreed contract,
- You misuse our services or act in a way that damages our reputation or operations, or
- We discontinue or replace the relevant service.
If termination occurs due to a breach or non-payment, no refunds will be issued. If we discontinue a service for business reasons, we will provide reasonable notice and, where possible, offer an alternative solution or a pro-rata refund for any unused period.
10. Limitation of Liability
We take care to deliver high-quality work, but we cannot be held liable for:
- Loss of profits, business, or data,
- Errors or downtime caused by third-party systems or software, or
- Consequences of client-supplied materials or instructions.
Our total liability under any agreement shall not exceed the total amount paid for the relevant service.

Our website may contain links to other websites for convenience. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of those sites.
12. Data Protection
We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR. Please refer to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for more information.
